Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser
Is this the experience you’ve been looking for?
For those of us who grew up on Star Wars in the 70s and 80s, we are the perfect target audience for this new adventure. We have such nostalgia and love for the Star Wars franchise. We remember what it was like to dream of flying the falcon or how we would pretend we were in battle with the old wrapping paper rolls. Whether you dreamed of being Luke, Leia, Han, Darth or Yoda, it didn’t matter – we all wanted our own C3PO or R2-D2 to hang out with. We remember how it felt to dream about these things, and now we are at that age where we have access to ‘adult’ money that we can use to tap in to those childhood dreams. Disney knows this – and keeps creating better and better adventures for us. From Rise of the Resistance to flying the Falcon in Hollywood Studios, now the stakes are even higher with the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
What is Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser?
It is ‘the most immersive Star Wars story ever created’ according to Disney. This 2 night adventure begins with you and your party arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort terminal where you will board a pod and rendezvous with the Halcyon starcruiser.
The key to this experience is that it is YOUR OWN. You are the hero, you choose your path and will have a chance to interact with characters, possibly plot some secret missions and eat some exotic cuisine! There will even be an opportunity for your mission to continue in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios.
According to Disney:
Will you follow the rule of the First Order or join the Resistance in a secret plot? Strike a bargain with a gang of smugglers or sit back, sip a cocktail and watch it all from a safe distance?
The choice is yours. You are the hero of your very own Star Wars adventure—the most immersive Star Wars experience ever created!

Will YOU be saving the galaxy?
So here’s the thing. I think it’s expensive, I think it’s a bit crazy – and I totally would pay for it. This is one of those times that my Mum would refer to as “having more money than brains” – and while it isn’t disposable income, and I might be maxing out a credit card or two, but I think it could be worth it.
Remember what it was like to pretend you were in one of your childhood dreams? When I put the falcon in to lightspeed, I will admit I cried. That simple act of sitting in the pilot seat, where Han sat and pulling that lever? Yep – I got choked up.
What would it be like to LIVE my Star Wars dream for 2 whole days? In a full immersive adventure?
I’ll let you know 😉
