Caribbean Beach Pirate RoomDo you want to be a Pirate?  Well, maybe a Disney Pirate!  When you stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, you can choose to have a room fit for any good pirate!

The Caribbean Beach Resort is in the moderate category for Disney Resorts and has a beautiful tropical theme.  The Old Port Royale lobby area is bright and breezy and the new Skyliner is a welcome addition to the resort offering a new mode of transportation.

The Pirate rooms at the resort sleep up to 4 adults and have standard and water view options.  The rooms are located in Trinidad South – the farthest from the main building, but only about a 10-15 minute walk.

The rooms are very well themed.  Where else would you get to sleep in a bed that looks like a pirate ship?   The beds were relatively comfortable on my recent stay and I appreciated that the pillows were nice and fluffy!

The Jolly Roger curtain between the room and the vanity area was a nice touch for added privacy.  I like having that divider to just be able to have some extra ‘space’ that is separate from the rest of the room

As with all Disney resort rooms, there were extra amenities like the safe, ironing board and extra bedding if you needed.

The pirate rooms do have the new soap dispensers that are mounted on the walls of the shower instead of the little bottles.  These were filled every day by Mousekeeping and we never had an issue using them.

The room was comfortable for us and had everything we needed.  There was a seating area with a table and chairs,  a fridge and plenty of drawer/storage space for our clothes.  You can see a full walk through of the room in the video below.

My only real irritant with the room was that it felt a little dark.  Even with the lights over each of the beds, I’m not sure if it was the color scheme or something else, but it just felt a bit dark to me.  I am the person who turns on all my lights when I get home though, so you can take that opinion of how dark it was with a grain of salt.

Have you stayed in a Pirate room?  What did you think?
